How keys combine

Rules that change what is already typed. In a rule, [ ] matches any one of the letters inside, ( ) remembers what it matched and $1, $2 put it back. Rules are tried in this order and the first match wins.

1. \\([A-Za-z\>_~\.0-9]) →becomes $1 Only right after typing \\ e.g. \A → A
2. ([ಕ-ಹೞ]಼?)್a →becomes $1 e.g. ಕ಼್ + a → ಕ಼
3. ([ಕ-ಹೞ]಼?)್A →becomes $1ಾ e.g. ಕ಼್ + A → ಕ಼ಾ
4. ([ಕ-ಹೞ]಼?)a →becomes $1ಾ e.g. ಕ಼ + a → ಕ಼ಾ
5. ([ಕ-ಹೞ]಼?)್i →becomes $1ಿ e.g. ಕ಼್ + i → ಕ಼ಿ
6. ([ಕ-ಹೞ]಼?)(್I|ಿi|ೆe) →becomes $1ೀ e.g. ಕ಼್ + I → ಕ಼ೀ
7. ([ಕ-ಹೞ]಼?)್u →becomes $1ು e.g. ಕ಼್ + u → ಕ಼ು
8. ([ಕ-ಹೞ]಼?)(ುu|್U|ೊo) →becomes $1ೂ e.g. ಕ಼ು + u → ಕ಼ೂ
9. ([ಕ-ಹೞ]಼?)್R →becomes $1ೃ e.g. ಕ಼್ + R → ಕ಼ೃ
